Dude, your film seriously blew my mind, BLEW. MY. MIND! it was beautiful artistically and at some points reminded mde of old shows I used to watch. God, the ending was perfect, I hope a sequel will come out in the future.

Hey great film. Everyone did a great job on this, from the voice actors to the animators and everyone in between.
The story was well paced, the music fit perfectly and the animation was superb. I did notice a few times where grandpa's eyes switched positions (left to right) but nothing too over the top, unless that was totally intended.
But while watching the entire animation I kept thinking how this was television or movie worth material. Maybe not the story of tar boy but the animation style and the work done behind this project. The scene that blew me away with its artistic direction was the factory one. When the lights went out and changed the colors...wow...and the dark battle was just beautiful.
Thanks for allowing me to view this awesome animation and I look forward to future projects!

I loved the art the story and all of it XD I can`t wait for tarboy 2 but only some things....
on deviantart u said that u are searching for artist that can make backgrounds (I think that your mail count should be over 9000 XD) but you didn`t say what kind of background u want us to do ...I mean city a factory pls explain the kind of background you what XD
and in the movie there are 2 minor bugs... in the scene there are all those 1 and 0 if you put pause the screen changes to a tiny one (this happens for 5 sec and then it returns to normal), and in the "robot in the dark fight" scene if you pause the screen stops but the light esects don`t stop.......
well... I don`t know if I am of any help but this is all XD and I am still waiting for tarboy 2(PUT MORE ART UP!!!!!!) see ya XD

Thanks for making Tarboy (how childish it may sound). It was the best thing I've seen on newgrounds (and I thought nothing would ever be better then the THERE SHE IS series). I really hope to see more of this in the near future ;). You could easily turn this in a small series. I'd BUY it (and I don't often buy things)!
well Tarboy is FINALY in the top ranks. so far, it's #1 by about .10 points. can't wait for the next one. sonehow the grandfatther seems like the janitor in the story. am i right?

Tarboy II isn't finished yet - but I'll be posting when it gets closer to the release date. We're hoping to have it done by the end of this year.

Hot damn dude, this movie had it all, awesome music, awesome voice acting, awesome graphics. Robots, Steam, Guns, Also It had a growling madman (Tarboy) which was in the mood to go maiming down some evil henchmen. The storytelling Man/Robot made it all better. It gave the movie more depth.
Come to think of it, at the watercooler scene. Those guys reminded me about the canadians in south park.
While i saw the movie i checked out the bonus content and got to your site where i then saw the movies that were there. It was "Purged, Make Snacks Not War and the Popstar". After watching these, I have to say this, you are awesome.
BTW. Can i have a link to the music you used? It was awesome, as i pointed out before and i would want to listen to it. The music in the movie had to be cut down to fit the scenes so just watching it over and over wouldn't let me hear the whole song. Then again, the quality of it makes me do it anyway.

My god, TARBOY! Sereously, not a word of exageration here, I watched it 10 times and counting.
Any ways, question, the cigerette being smoked by the fat cat, Dose it symbolize tar boy as somthing that kills? just wondering...
You know.. because smoking is bad for you... and tar boy is bad for you... what ever..

from the movie and the motif of cigarettes im guesing that its kinda something your refering to cuz the execs and they were all kild in tar and the guy who kiled him at the end had a cigarette so was that all accidental or were you trying to sneak that in there?

Actually the idea of cigarettes and tar was a coincidence (but still very cool).
With the corporates, we used the cigarette as a symbol of addiction, which hopefully we'll make clearer and expand on in future installments.
